
Bay of Plenty Branch Event - Site Visit and XRF Field Exercise
This event aims to provide a chance to see XRF in in the field and even have a go yourself!
This topic is particularly of interest as the new guidance has recently been released.
This event will be a 3-part face-to-face event:
Part 1 – Meet on site and Brendon will provide a presentation around XRF (uses, applications, project examples).
Part 2 – Watch an XRF in action, with the opportunity to familiarise with the devices on site.
Part 3 – Reconvene at second venue for kai and drinks to network with industry peers.
Your ticket includes one complimentary drink and a selection of appetizers. Please note that this is not a formal lunch event.

Brendon is a Certified Environmental Practitioner, and a director at HAIL Environmental with over 30 years of environmental consulting experience related to the management of contaminated land.
Brendon has been an active member of ALGA since the association was established in New Zealand, a former Bay of Plenty branch committee chair, and is a current ALGA Board member.
Dr Dave Bull

Brendon will be joined by Dr Dave Bull, one of the authors of the recently released guidelines "Field use of X-ray fluorescence spectroscopy for investigation of contaminated soils" (MfE, 2024).
Dave is also a Certified Environmental Practitioner and a director at HAIL Environmental. He is a regular contributor the contaminated site industry and a director at WasteMINZ.
