Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Compliance Verification

Use of Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) for various aerial applications continues to increase, as does the number of UAS operators/ organisations conducting these. Associated airframes can range from the sub 2kg (excluded category) to those above 150kg, bringing with them different and various levels of risk. Advances in new UAS technologies is also increasing, meaning that UAS are not only able to be used effectively in aerial work applications (i.e. inspection, imagery, security, mapping, weed spraying, etc.), but are now on the brink of breaking into passenger carrying operations.

Although regulatory compliance is a key component to ensuring safety during all UAS operations, no matter the size of UAS or complexity of activities being conducted, are the task specific risks being appropriately managed and mitigated by the UAS operators, and are these risks suitably understood by the contracting company (or client)?

We will conclude the session with audience driven questions and answers. Please email me at elearning@landandgroundwater.com with any detailed aspects of the subject you would like to see addressed.
