Abe Sharman, Sustainative
Abe ‘s passionate about bringing the Indigenous wisdom to the forefront particularly highlighting the deep spiritual significance of culture playing a crucial role in creating happier human beings and greener planet. As a co-founder at Sustainative, Abe’s has been able to manifest his desires (life’s purpose) in service to thriving of the First Nations communities and environmental outcomes.
Abe’s a specialist in the Corporate Environmental, Heritage and Sustainability, holds MSc Environment and Sustainability from Monash University and Business Graduate from Melbourne Business School, University of Melbourne and has years of operations and project management experience in the critical industries such as construction, mining, transport, facilities mgt, .
Stephen Thorpe, Sustainative
Stephen is a proud First Nations person. He’s the Company Director at Sustainative. Stephen’s Aboriginal heritage are associated with the Gunaikurnai, Gunditjmara and Yorta Yorta communities in Victoria.
Stephen has 17 years’ experience working with the First Nations communities. He specialises in merging the intrinsic connections, profound knowledge and generational Indigenous wisdom into the client’s projects. Passionate about community engagement and development activities to address health, economic, social, and personal challenges of the First Nations People.
Dr. Naomi Soderstrom, University of Melbourne
Dr. Soderstrom received her Ph.D. in Accounting and Information Systems from Northwestern University. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia. Her primary research areas are sustainability and management accounting. She recently served as Guest Editor for a special issue of Journal of Management Accounting Research on sustainability reporting and management. Her current projects include research on corporate climate risk reporting and cybersecurity.
